From selection to answer.

Three steps. In any supported app.
01

Select text.

A draft, a tricky paragraph, a reply. Highlight it in the app you’re already using.

02

Choose your agent.

Your pinned agents appear beside the selection. Pick the right one for the job.

03

Review the result.

Read the result, ask a follow-up, or replace the text where supported. Stay in your flow.

LATCH BAR STUDIO

A small bar.
A full Studio.

Agents that work your way.

Create agents with their own instructions, skills, tools, and workspaces. Pin your favorites for the next selection.

Read-only by default.

You choose each agent’s permissions. Review every response and decide what to apply.

A few details.

Do I need a Codex account?

Currently, yes. Latch Bar is built around Codex and uses your existing login. Support for other agent runtimes is planned. Access and usage depend on your Codex account.

Which apps does it work with?

Supported native apps, browsers, and documents on macOS 12 or later. Capture and text replacement depend on what each app exposes. Apple silicon and Intel are supported.

What happens to my selected text?

When you run an agent, the selection is sent to Codex as context. Latch Bar does not save original selected text locally by default. Secure fields are excluded, and Codex manages its own history separately.

How do I get started?

Download Latch Bar for macOS, install it, and enable Accessibility in Settings. It uses your existing Codex login. Latch Bar is open source: explore the code, report issues, or contribute on GitHub.
