The little details.
Do I need a Codex account?
Yes. Latch Bar uses your existing Codex login. Access and usage depend on your Codex account.
Which apps does it work with?
Supported native apps, browsers, and documents on macOS 12 or later. Capture and text replacement depend on what each app exposes. Apple silicon and Intel are supported.
What happens to my selected text?
When you run an agent, the selection is sent to Codex as context. Latch Bar does not save original selected text locally by default. Secure fields are excluded, and Codex manages its own history separately.
How do I get started?
Download Latch Bar for macOS, install it, and enable Accessibility in Settings. It uses your existing Codex login. Latch Bar is open source: explore the code, report issues, or contribute on GitHub.
